Location & privacy
Sora Extra Duty requests location only when you deliberately submit a punch action. It does not continuously track your location or collect location in the background.
When location is requested
Punch-in, punch-out, start-break and end-break actions each request a current location sample. Opening a page, viewing assignments or staying signed in does not start location collection. Your device or browser controls location permission.
How a punch sample is used
The sample can include latitude, longitude and reported accuracy. It accompanies the punch attempt so the attendance service can apply the job’s location requirements and record the outcome. If location is unavailable or outside a required job boundary, the punch may be rejected. A location sample alone does not confirm attendance; check the returned punch result.
Attendance and audit records
The service keeps attendance records and audit records for accepted and rejected punch attempts. Audit records can include available location information, the account and job, the attempt time, and the outcome. Disabling continuous tracking does not remove existing attendance or audit records.
Your account and agency
The app also handles the account, assignment, voucher and notification information needed for the features you use. Your agency administers access to those records. Contact your agency’s Sora administrator for its retention, sharing and records-request policies, or for questions about your data.
